Do you want S'more?

There's a chill in the air, good friends, great food, music playing in the background, the toasty warmth of the fire and all is right with the world.
We had fun last year and we're ready to do it again this year! So mark your calendars to reserve the date and try to stop by.
Friday, October 12th around 6pm at John Walker's house. Hope it's early enough to catch some of you before your calendars fill up!
Rich Hendrix will be in town that evening and LaVeta Opp Kirby may be able to come by before she heads to a wedding on the 13th.
This is potluck folks so please be sure to shoot me an email to let me know what you'll be bringing. Don't forget to bring a lawn chair and your cooler!
Please RSVP by October 5th, if possible.
If you need directions to John Walker's house, just yell.

Oh yeah, for all you cold-natured folks - be sure to layer up and bring your blanket!
We will try to be there.
Patty and Roy
We just might make this one.
Sheri and hubby (Jay)
WOW, Linda, you did it! It sounds like a great time and best of all, I get to be there this time. Thanks for all the effort.
Rich
Nope I won't be able to get back for this one. I have a golf date in the Desert already for the 12th of October. maybe, the next one. I hope everyone has as much fun as we had at the reunion weekend. I am still wishing there would have been more time to talk to more people.
me too Bill. Just not enough time to get around to everyone. I'm with Donna P.N. we need about 4 days!!
Happy golfing...sounds like a nice retirement thing to do!
We'll send you a grilled hotdog and a s'more. Might as well send it to Arizona so it stays hot.
Don't think I will be able to make it but you never know. I sure will try. My kids are haveing a bonfire the next evening at their house which just happens to be next door so grandma gets to be at that one and whatch the little ones.
I wont be able to make it.Im in the middle of a 7 in a row stretch of 6p-6a. But you can always buzz the PD on your way in or out.
Debbi - Maybe we'll be rowdy enough at the bonfire to warrant a visit from the Bethalto PD!
Three people talking at the same time would do that, wouldn't it?
I could actually swing it with just two talking, I have a gift for talking people into getting themselves arrested. Nobody from the bonfire though, unless they are in the reunion van, I counted 213 violations, at least, on that.
i believe they call that harrassment. i know my rights.
Yeah Steve, the right to remain SILENT.
She's got YOUR number, Steve!
i'm up against the car.
this is what we call "leaving yourself wide open".
take it away Deb.
Steve, while I appreciate the fact that you aquiesced(hope I spelled thet right) so readily,it is not a position you would get to choose. Then again, maybe...We would probably would use psychological battery first, doesnt always work so we would have to resort to something a little more devious so we can talk you in to resisting....ah well ,what the heck, you are gettin TASERED.
i'd prefer an evening that starts with psychological battery, middles out in cuffs, and ends in light, feathery taserings. i'm just throwing that out there.
Is this blog still G-rated?
Hello out there, there, there...
If you are planning on coming to the bonfire, would you please shoot me an email to let me know what you'd like to bring?
So far we have coleslaw, some hot dogs and buns, taco dip, baked beans and/or marinated vegetables, and a couple of other things. Feel free to add to it or bring more of it. More and more people are planning on coming and most them them haven't told me what they're bringing yet. This list was off the top of my head - I'll get a more accurate list of food posted shortly.
Be sure to let me know - even if your plans are not chiseled in stone yet.
Thanks.
