again, please tell us who Neal Osaga is.
I've been wanting to change my name since I've been old enough to realize that it needed changing.
I might want to talk to this person and see how it's done.
your revising is superb by the way.
Jim Barnes
OK! I thought that was a joke or something when that came up before. What's with the name change Jimmy/Neal? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.
Talk about small world, Jim's OOPS, Neal's nephew roomed with my son a few years back, when they attended the same college. Ain't that WILD!

Neal just wanted to break all ties with his dad and they previously had shared the same name. We all have our demons.
Neal called me the other evening and we had a nice "catch-up" phone call. Our families were close when we were younger.
He is going to try to make it to the bonfire on Oct. 12th. Please try to remember the new name - ok?
Speaking of new names... I know another but younger classmate who changed her name. Does anyone remember a girl named Peggy Reunion from Meadowbrook? She had an older sister (one year behind us in school)named Eugenia Reunion. Anyway, Peggy changed her first name to Tiffany. I believe she was married to her 3rd husband back then. She had always liked the name and decided to change it when she was around 30 yrs old. If I remember correctly, Tiffany's mother (also an old family friend) is a published author.
Does anyone else see a theme here? Was your family ever "friends" with my family? Ever had an urge to change your name? If so, contact me. I have several really cool names that I never got to use on additional children!
I guess if you feel strongly about it a name change is easier than changing a lot of other things about ourselves. When I was younger I hated my name because it was old and matronly. Now I AM old and matronly so the urge to change my name has passed.Ha Ha.
I've thought about changing my name to Mit Nedlog. Then I could be a mirror image of myself!!
I am open to any suggestions. (careful Linda Lou)
Tim, I think Mit is a cool name, but Siol is not.
How about Emily? Too sweet? No one would buy it?
or Roxy? (Big fan of "CHICAGO")
Did we get off the subject here?
Lois, off the subject? well yeah..who the heck wants to be reminded of getting older? You are not an Emily as there are too many of those and you are definitely one of a kind. How about Tallulah? If you don't take it I will.
Lois, I think you should do it! You are definitely a Roxy(love that movie, seen it 6 times)Linda, you are a Lola, a Latin hot mamma.
I changed my name unofficially when I was 16 and worked in Kirkwood where no one knew me, believe it or not I called myself Jo, then I eventually ended up marrying one.How prophetic.I was stalking him even then.
Debbi - While I appreciate the "hot mamma" thought - I can't get my head around it. Maybe because my grandmother's name was Lola and she was definitely NOT a hot Latin mamma!
Well, Richard has so many nick-names and then if you throw in the my middle name LEE and go true southern style, using both names, that adds even more. The only version I NEVER liked was "Richard Lee", 'cause that meant Mom was pissed and I was in trouble.LOL I think I will stick with what I've got.
Helen, "old and matronly" LOL
Tallula LOL
Yeah, I could see you as "JO", Debbie and also, Linda as "LOLA".
Tim, you could definitely be "MIT".
But, Lois, YEP, you are a Lois.
Oh yeah, and COOKIEMANN
As for you all, call me by whcihever version you want. Just don't be surprised if I asked you to pick a different one...LOL...sometimes one or the other just doesn't SING when I hear it from certain people. YEAH, I KNOW, it IS weird, but you all know I'm a little TWEEKED. LOL
Rich
How much did my mom pay you to say that Richard?
Ok Linda that is scary my mothers name was Lola Juanita and she wasn't a hot Momma either
It just got even weirder, Debbi.
My grandma's "birth" name was Lola Jelks (middle name - she was named after the doctor who delivered her). She hated that so she changed her middle name to Jewel. What's with this L.J. stuff anyway?
Linda, I think I knew your G-ma in a former life of mine(I really like the idea of re-incarnation, makes sense to me to recycle)and I bet if you saw a picture of her when she was young, she would be hot(to somebody anyway)and what Rich said. Why Neal Osaga? Is he got some native American in him? I do but all my older relatives deny it cause I guess the didn't think it was fashionable way back when.I still dont allow people around me to get away with saying Indian Summer because when they use it they are talking about a false summer(in the fall) and its a term that was meant to be negative to the Indian population.
When I get married my last name will be Mello. I thought about dropping the L from my first name so I would be Cara Mello, you know, like the candy bar. Or, I could change my first name to Marsha and be Marsha Mello. That would be fun.
Carla,
You could change your first name to Get and be a walking advertisement for people to "Get Mello"!
So have you set a date for the wedding yet?
Linda,
No rush on getting married. We have been together for 6 years so when it happens, it happens. I will let you know when my name changes.
