It's been half a year since the reunion. I hope life has been good to everyone. I'm busy as ever and getting busier with the wedding plans. Best wishes to all.
I have finally been able to find my password. I could not log in only read alot of sad events since the reunion with people passing. I am glad I was able to attend the renuion as it put things in a new perspective for me on how life passes you by and how many great people you meet in your life that you forget about along the way. YEE HA, temps stayed above freezing overnight. That's a good sign that spring is on the way. I, too, have had a busy winter and spring will bring more busy than I care to think about, this early in the morning. We finally sold our EXTRA rv and now my head is filled will all the chores that will need to be done at the lake, spring turkey hunting and chores arond the house. It will be a busy spring. I look forward to checking this blog every morning. I just wish there were more of us posting here. It's great to hear how everyone is doing and to hear about what's going on in your lives. So, thanks to those of you who have been sharing and keeping this blog active. Thanks, also, to Linda, Gwen and Lois for maintaing the blog, birthday records and keeping us informed.
Rich, I kinda feel the same way.I have retired, not officially until May second, but I am not working but burning off years of accumulated sick time and vacation time.I cant seem to get in to the swing of day to day things yet, I have never NOT worked.Joe and I don't do the hunting thing but we like to travel alot. We went to California to see my daughter in December and it was great. Just the drive out there and back was spectacular.I too want to thank Linda, Lois, and Gwen for keeping this thing going even though Linda was incapacitated for a long while, she has a gift for research. And I know Lois is busy back to work again and really should be writing books.
Reunion? I remember that. A great night with more goody bags than we knew what to do with. Now that Debbi's retired, she can inhabit personalities (Dr. Taser, say, or Hitchhiker #2) and blog daily and annoy people with things that make no sense and/or provide tips about coffee shops or rest stop bathrooms between here and California. Or she can begin organizing the 2012 reunion. Or all of it. I vote for all of it.
I check the ole blog almost every evening just to see if there is anything new. I enjoy hearing anything from anyone. Ha! I hope we don't have any more sad news though. Let's get rolling on the 2012 reunion. Maybe I won't be changing jobs or moving. I would like to be able to say that maybe I'll be retired by then. I'll probably still be working though. The spring flowers and trees are in bloom here in NC. The daytime temps are in the 60s. Sweet! Keep blogging folks.
Speaking of Dr. Taser....Sorry Steve, just a random thought about how you missed that experience, but since you brought it up I can always borrow one. I still know people in low places. Believe it or nor Fling J had the best coffee and the free parking for RV'rs was good too.As far as the blog goes I volunteer to write nonsensical meandering thoughts that no one understands, including me.
Nonsensical...Meandering??? Sounds like me a 430am BEFORE coffee.LOL Debbie, glad to hear you are on the OFF-RAMP to retirement. Jenny and I traveled for many years with our RV's. We are just taking a break from it and settling in to a permanent spot, on a lake, for a while. I do miss the travel, though. I especially miss the Rockies in September. My favorite of all the places we have been.
Carla, we are gonna break 40 degrees here, today. It's been above freezing, overnight, a couple times this week. That's what I look for 'cause the snow just keeps melting. I should be able to see patches of green in the back yard by the end of the weekend. YEE HA Maybe I'll be able to shed the long-johns for good next week.LOL
Debbie, I think I'll pass on any encounters with Dr.Taser....Don't mind reading about them or seeing them, but don't really want to be and ACTIVE participant.LOL
Hey Rich,You don't have to worry about the taser thing, Steve made it all up to keep my 'Bad ass' reputation intact. I am a figment of his imagination. Lois where are you?I need some back up here.
Back Up?? You're doin' fine.LOL Some of that rep was earned in grade school, as I recall. Or, maybe THAT, too, was a figment of MY imagination.LOL All I knew is that you were way faster than me and I didn't wanna get pinched of clawed if I pissed ya off.LOL
Funny stuff guys and gals. Keep it going. I may not be too fast on my feet but I'll match my wit with the best of em. Rich, it borke 70 today..rubbing it in, I know. Talk about spring fever. Just one more day till the weekend. Yipeeee!
I think you are right Rich, I always wanted people to think I was bad because I was such a shrimp and it was one of the ways I had to defend myself. it served me well in later years when it was semi-sorta fine tuned. Deputy Mike Dixon had it right, he always said you can take the girl outa Cottage Hills but you can't take the Cottage Hills outa the girl. My background was actually in my favor. Ain't that right Lois, the bad, from CH.
Steve I think you like to be scared, it's invigorating, makes you feel alive, good ole endorphins kick in,you feel you can run run forever and that the world is actually a great place, and... Ah, what was I talking about?
Hey Carla, its like freakin 70 degrees here today and the sun is burning my eyes, its the straight midnight thing for years. Maybe I am actually a vampire from a previous life, but one who doesn't go POOF when the sun hits. Is POOF appropriate, do you get a visual in your head when I say it? Oh well, just another meanderer.
I don’t know if Linda intended to leave a blank post but it’s taken on a life of it’s own thanks to you all. 18 comments (now 19) and I didn’t even offer a prize. Gwennie, if you read this I miss you too! Chessie told me she saw you today.
Hey Deb, Got the visual loud and clear. Can ya see what I'm sayin? I must have been born in the wrong time zone or something or with a bassakwards internal clock. Never was a morning person. I seem to function best at 0'dark thirty or there abouts. Helen, I'm glad we can take off and run with an untitled post like this one. Just goes to show where imagination can take us. Ha! It's fun to read meanerings, random thoughts, and anything else that happens to pop up. Denise, don't be a stranger. Feel free to join in the meanderings. Speaking of strangers, Lo...where have you been girl? Where is Gwennie, Bill, Bob, Tim, and anyone else we haven't heard from in a while? Let's see how long we can keep this untitled posting going.

I think the fear is real Deb. He's never called us tiny bad girls before. also, I've noticed he has no back-up from his homeboys. oh yeah, he's scared.
Hi Carla, Denise, Helen, Rich..everyone lurking... I'm still around, but it took an untitled post to get me off my lily pad. I'm a lazy classmate these days. Keep posting, I'll catch up eventually.
This blank post was an accident - started to post something but then reality hit and I realized it would probably offend more people than not so I erased it - causing a blank posting. I was really tempted to stir some folks to comments though!
Anyhoo, I'll make sure a "blank" posting stays visible now just for meanderings like these.
Linda, I don't think you need to worry about offending anyone and besides, it would make for some good controversial comments, so post away.I personally like and adversarial edge to things just in case you didn't notice.Gotta give me somethin to do while I'm figurin out what I want to be when I grow up.
Yeah Linda, go ahead and post away! I don't get offended easily, unless it it a personal attack on my character. Wait, what character? I am a character. I think I'm in good company too since there are quite a few characters here. Come on now, you all know who you are. Fess up!
Not that I have a problem with stirring up controversy (after all I am a C.H. girl too!) I do think in some cases it’s best to err on the side of playing it safe....
Helen you are so nice, unfortunately I rarely err on the side of caution, thats bad, but then again I wouldn't have my kids. Carla give it up. Whats the scoop on HiLo from the hood?

Real people or figments? I'm up for either.

Carla give it up. Whats the scoop on HiLo from the hood?
