How to Save the Government $5 Million
A president's pension currently is $191,300 per year.
Assuming the next president lives to age 80. Sen McCain would receive ZERO pension as he would reach 80 at the end of two terms as president. Sen Obama would be retired for 26 years after two terms and would receive $4,973,800 in pension.
Therefore it would certainly make economic sense to elect McCain in November.
How's that for non-partisan thinking???

Yeah, yeah, I know!! That's a touchy subject, but the smart ass in me just couldn't resist.

This is the only thing I have heard in this political season that I actually believe. This should be publicized, it may be the only factual information any of us have to actually cast our ballots with.
Isn't that true with all elections though?
I remember when my mom was knee deep in political dung when the first and only time in 22 years she had an opponent for the Fort Russell Township Assessor position.
The opponent took an outdated "truth" and went door-to-door telling folks that Mom hadn't taken the assessor books into the county for processing in the last couple of years. One of the recipient's of this information thought to call Mom to ask if the information was true. Mom told the person "Yes, it's true. Because 2 years ago our office started electronic transmissions of the "books" to the county."
Unfortunately, my dad was in the hospital on his deathbed at the time. So, Mom refused to fight against the liars but she won the election (by a very slim margin) anyway. Dad died never knowing the grief she had just went through. And, Mom was disgusted by the whole ordeal and decided to retire a few years later.
Lies are best when they are based on the truth. We really have to dig to discover the WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, don't we?
