Michael A. "Mike" Pelan, 53, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at his residence. He was born Nov. 20, 1954, in Wood River to Frank and Bertha (Anderson) Pelan. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mike & I grew up across the street from each other....seems I remember seeing him once since we left school....I think.......but I remember playing marbles w/ him in his back yard.....Tim G may have been there too....& sticking firecrackers in the crabapples that fell off their tree and heaving them up in the air for the explosion......wish he'd a been at the reunion so I coulda talked to him......and his older brother was the first one to turn me on to component stereo systems and the first dude I knew that had a Harley...
