Get out the magnifying glasses!

Anyone remember September, 1964? That would make it about 5th grade, right?
This picture was mailed to me from one of our classmates who knows the name of every student in the shot.
First, you're going to have to correctly guess at least two of the kids in the picture to determine which grade school is involved. Let's make this be a mulitple-part contest.
Part 1 - guess the location of the grade school.
Part 2 - name as many of the 8 kids in the front row as possible from left to right
We'll move up the steps later.
The provider of the picture took the photo and will feed answers to your guesses through me.

Hold on. We're working to enlarge the photo on the blog.
Dang it Steve...it's in parts man!
Part 1 Meadowbrook definitely
Part 2 front row...far right..Debbie Mayes, Uretta Bond.
gwen, if they just use the mouse and click on the picture, after two clicks it's the right size.
Right clicking didn't work on my computer at work but it works on my home computer. Other than the kids already identified, the only person that I am pretty sure about is Donna Owens, 2nd row white dress. Is Mardell Mayes the teacher?
Someone asked if the teacher was Mrs. Mayes. That would be a no. Meadowbrook's 5th Grade teacher was Mrs. Rita Sparrowk - very strict.
1st row L to R
Kenny Gibson, Billy Watters, Gary Lee Richards, Mike Hammond, Sharon Todd (1st ball on head), Uretta Bond, Nona Furlow blocked by the arm of Paula Bartholemew (other ball on head).
Now, move up a step. Who are they?

And now a message to everyone out there who enjoys reading the blog but either hasn't been successful at logging in or may be concerned about and associated costs...
MERRY CHRISTMAS - FREE, FREE, FREE. No costs are involved to "blog". And, if you have any problems logging onto the website or setting up your user account, PLEASE call me at 618-971-8609 and I'll walk you through it. I'm no expert and had never, ever done anything like this before our CMHS website. If I can do it, believe me - anyone can!
I'd be here all night trying to name them. Mike Trimm is obvious, along with Sheila, Sheri and Linda. Debbie Williams hasn't changed abit.
Who could forget Donna Owens?
Dr. Steve wanted to know who "ran" the 5th grade class - well, there you have her! Donna forced Sheri Rickey and I (and there was a 4th someone I can't recall right now) to sing Beatles' songs everyday at recess. It had to be bad. I can carry a tune about as well as I can carry a piano.
She used to invite me to her parties at her grandmother's house only because I had my own record player and some records. Oh yeah, I used to get to run kissie-face messages between the boys and girls throughout the evening.
Last I knew, Donna lived in Brighton and had married Joe Greenwell's son, I believe. Her mom, Lila Lee used to sing with Joe Greenwell's band around this area. I heard Donna does that now but I don't get out very often so am not sure about that.
Donna Owens used to sing Patsy Cline type songs didn't she? I remember her in our music class time with Mr. Prange. He led the junior high choir. Donna would have fun singing "Stand By Your Man". It was Mr. Prange that trained us in our formulative years to sing and harmonize. We won the competition at the state n level.
I remember Donna, she had a lovely voice. During one of the holiday assemblies we each had a solo and she sang "Moon River" and I sang "Autumn Leaves". She put me to shame! I remember Gwen having a sore throat and eating Vicks Vapo Rub so she could sing.
Mr. Prange used to have tears in his eyes when our chorus sang.
