Do kids ride bikes out of their neighborhoods anymore?
Could the Darr's have used some paint on that window sill?

I have no idea who this ambitious bike riding girl is.
But I do know from a past newsletter that those window sills had to wait because Harry was kickin' up his heels at Genos.

Debbie Mayes Roberts. Jr. High age, 7th grade?
Does anyone remember the really cute foreign exchange student that lived with the Mayes family? I used to go over to visit on Neunaber St. and drooled quite a bit. With this group, maybe I should mention the exchange student was a boy with a Spanish or South American accent.
I also remember helping to string popcorn for the Christmas tree. Does anyone do that anymore?
I remember the really cute Spaniard, but the only name that comes to mind is "Carlos." I guess that I've been watching too many episodes of Desparate Housewives.
I also remember church camp with Debbie and her brother, Matt, where I believe Debbie was first acquainted with a handsome fellow named Jerry Roberts from Livingston, IL.
I've tried to string popcorn, but my string is never very long because I string one, eat two or three.
Carlos actually sounds very familiar. I believe you're right, Gwen. I've emailed Deb to ask her to check out the blog so maybe she'll enlighten us.
