Janet Farnetti, me, ?, LaVeta Opp,?, Stan Williamson, Stan Medley in the back, Steve Davenport with the defensive pose, of course the room mothers we have already identified and Stutzie, then it gets a little blurry, both the photo and my mind. Bill Robinson must be in there somewhere, and Donna Aljets, Oh yeah, Ricky Williams next to Stan Williamson.
anna banana, I was hoping that you would remember ?'s name; she seems to really like you with the hand on your leg and all. And what's with Mr. Stutz checking out Talk's derriere? See Stan Medley to the left of Stutz's head? And Sharon Gibbons at Dr. Steve's feet? Anyone remember that Sharon was somehow related to Stutz's future wife, "Dutchess" and the fit he threw once when Sharon referred to her by that name? I think that's Alan Helmkamp's head above Bill Robinson's head. Who's the boy on the very left, next to Rick Williams? The name "Gentry" comes to my mind.
Gwennie, ? might be Mary Smothers, but thats just a wild guess. We were pals back then. I remember Dan Gentry, but have no idea if he is in this photo. As for Mr. Stutz, lots of ugly memories come to mind when I think of him. He might have gotten married, but he didn't seem to like girls much, and he was always having rabid fits.
I have no guesses as to the names of anyone. HOwever, I can vouch for the fact that Mr. Stutz did get married and had 3 kids, I believe. He was my son's 5th grade teacher in Meadowbrook and actually moved into the 2 sty house on Neunaber where Debbie Mayes Roberts lived previously. I used to see him nearly every day. He was strict though.
Ann, You are correct about the rabid fits! For this particular one, we were working on some incubation process and the eggs had come from Stutz's fiance, Ms. Fernandez. Sharon addressed Ms. Fernandez by her nickname,"Dutchess," because she knew her well, and Stutz went ballistic (remember red face?) on her and the whole class. I remember sitting silent the entire rest of the afternoon. Remember how he used to adjust his pants all of the time?
Gwennie the pants memory made me crack up. And the red face! Oh yeah! I remember standing at the chalk board trying to do a problem (trying is operative word) and he got sooooooo mad at me because I wasn't able to do it. Anger Management would have been useful for him.
I wasn't in Mr Stutz's class...I heard he was mean. I think my order of teachers during those years was Mrs. Kolb (4th), Mrs. Higginbotham (5th) and Ms. Thompson (6th). Anyone out there in class with me??? By the way, I recognized most in your class shot, but Mrs. Herren stood out as one of the room mothers, right? That's Mary Herren's mom...she was my piano teacher!
A guy who needed anger management, was always adjusting his pants and blowing into a nasty hanky..Bill, are you sure you want it to go on record that this guy was "always nice" to you? I'm just thinking about your political future here.
Mr Stutz always cut the atheletes some slack...& when we were in grade school it was pretty much boy's sports as I remember.......& adjusting the pants....he had it down pat...;-) ...I remember playing flag football out in the field kitty-cornered across from the pool(home field).....seems I was center/def. line in those days....not fast enough to keep up w/ you jocks.....;-)....but we had fun....
looks like everyone remembers him just like he was. Lois, Not going to run for office, I have those college years, and a few events post college I don't need re-lived in the press lol ha! I got the same treatment as all the boys. talk called it right the athletes he cut slack
I remember Mr. Stutz returning to class to inform us to go to the gym for a meeting. As he walked in he saw me throwing a piece of paper in the trash can from my seat abot six feet from the can. I had just used the paper to sharpen my pencil and it was solid black with graphite. H made me put that piece of waded up paper in my mouth and stand up in the back of the gym. The meeting lasted over an hour and by the time it was over I was covered in drool. Oh what great memories of 6th grade!
Can we say sadistic? You turned out great in spite of that traumatic experience Stan! Bill, you're cute as all sixth grade boys were cute. I doubt that cuteness will be enough to erase all of your questionable college behavior though. Can't you just say you didn't inhale? I'd be happy to be your PR gal.

Isn't that pepsi Bill peeking his head out between Rick Williams and Stan Williamson?

I remember him adjusting his pants and pulling his hanky out and constantly blowing his nose! He was always nice to me.
Yeah, you were a boy
EEEEEWWWW! The hanky!!! Poor "Dutchess" had to wash all those boogers out of those things!

I think he used to have a bunch of keys or change jingling in his pocket too....didn't he?

Lois, yep that is me with my ears sticking out like a car going down the street with it's doors open...between Rick and "Stanley" Williamson!
