Is anyone interested in renting a motel room for the night of the reunion? We'll try to get everyone in the same motel so the party can continue IF YOU CHOOSE once you're "home" safely from Julia's.
Let me know as soon as possible if you'd be interested and we'll see what can be done.

I will need a room for two and it sounds like a fun idea to try to get the same hotel.
We've made reservations already for Friday and Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Alton (AARP discount!!) but would be intersted in switching if something is worked out for everyone to stay at the same place. Sounds like fun.
Out of the four Alton motels, only one has anything available for the evening of 9/1/07. It's the Days Inn on Homer Adams Parkway (the Beltline back in our day).
1 king bed, non-smoking is $55.50 per night
2 double beds, non-smoking is $60.52 per night
It's not looking good for a "block" of rooms!
Where is the Days Inn relative to Julia's? I don't know if I'll stay at a hotel or if I'll impose on one of my classmates. It would depend on how close a place is to the banquet hall. Does anybody know?
The Days Inn and Julia's are within a mile or so of each other on the same side of the highway.
Thanks for the info on Days Inn. I had forgotten about that place and it is much closer to Julia's than the Holiday Inn. I just switched our reservations.
OK, I didn't realize that the Days Inn had gotten so bad. I always read reviews on places before we take our tropical trips so you would think I'd be savvy enough to do the same when booking a place in my old back yard. Brain fart!! Thanks Bob, after reading your post I read some nightmare reviews of the place and luckily was able to rebook at the Holiday Inn.
Bob,
Thanks for the info on the hotels. We will probably book a room at the Holiday Inn then too.
