Mystery Matador

The bull is regarded as the unofficial national symbol of Spain.
Which 72 classmate pictured here is the unofficial bull fighter of Osborne Bodega (they make sherry) in the Spanish town of El Puerto de Santa Maria?

Lo-Lo--I had no idea you were such a multi-faceted woman. I don't thn-ink there's much call for a matador-ess(???) in the metro St.Louis area but you'll be ready if there is.

LOVE the jaunty angle on the hat.

Seriously, this is a GREAT picture. What's the story behind it?

Cute hat Lo! And I thought I was the only one with the hat balancing talent. For those of you with no idea about what that means, there was a pic of me form about 7th grade posted on the blog wearing or balancing a hat on my head.
Come on girl..fess up and tell us the story.

No story except that I had been touring bodegas all day and was very very happy. Did I mention that I was very VERY happy?
so happy in fact that I don't remember wearing this hat.
The cape weighed half as much as I did and the bull was smart enough to keep his distance.
oh yes, Deb...multi-faceted, that's me and still a notorious bull slinger...I mean, slayer.

Was that bull stuffed or alive? I don't even like to get near the goats at the petting zoo at Grants Farm.... even with all the free beer they give away. LOL

I don't think any amount of beverage would get me that close to a live bull.
This fellow must have aged out, died and was stuffed.
He still had his ears and tail, which is a sure sign that he wasn't killed by a matador.
Seems content, don't you think?

Slinger, slayer--what's the difference as long as you're happy. And you DO look happy.
As far as the bull goes, dead or alive he's probably enjoying the happiness of the chica who was wearing the hat!

How long ago was this???? I thought you headed to Iceland after marriage...I was feeling sorry for you living in such a removed place, while all along you were "Oh la..ing" in Spain!

very nice picture I am not sure if she looks happy, scared, excited, or all of the above (including, eh HAPPY!). The hat and the facial expression make it a priceless picture. Good one Lois.
