I THOUGHT that was Mr. Kohlburn. He truly was a great man. Is he still around Bathalto? Would love to see him.
I only went on 1 band trip, our soph year. I remember staying at the Hilton(?) downtown Chicago & there was another group of high school kids. We all just sort of took over the labby and started having a sing-along.Does anybody else remember that? Still one of the most memorable events of my high school years. So neat in the era of VietNam and riots, etc to get together with a buch of kids and just start singing. My biggest regret in dropping out of band was missing out on band tour. Everybody always had such great, funny stories about them.
That was this trip, Debbie. I remember us doing a lot of sing alongs. Remember having the float at my house that year and we sat around singing songs. I don't know how we ever got that float built. Can anyone remember who played the guitars? I can picture them, but can't remember their names. My memory comes and goes anyway. haha.
Anyway we had alot of fun in our high school years.
The trip to Chicago was great. I thought it was way cool staying at the Hilton. Who is that in the pic covering her face? The next year wasn't so great as I was a bad girl. Got caught with guys in the room and got sent home. Shame, shame, tsk, tsk! Thing went down hill from there. Live and learn.
Carla - Everything that's happened in our past - every good or bad decision we've made and acted upon - has made us the people we are today and, Chick, I think YOU ROCK!
Gee thanks Linda Lou and Gwennie! You girlers rock too! What happened in highschool, good or bad, is a part of who we but not necessarily who we have become. I've come a long way baby and the trip ain't over yet.
Yes, Mr Kolburn is evidently aware of our reunion, I cant remember who talked to him but he remembers our class(smirking) with fondness but doesnt't think he will be able to attend.
Wasn't this the same year that Mike Marburger and Dave Gibbons did a great Simon and Garfunkel routine. Also, didn't we have our bluegrass guys, Dennis Bottoms, Gary Null, Travis Lewis?
Kay ELmore's behind the hand. Yes, it was Mike & Dave--SO many sing-alongs with them. Are they still around? Who did they marry--I think Dave married Brenda (can't remember her last name. I HATE having no memory!)but have no idea about Mike. I remember that the blue grass guys went one year but can't remember if it was this one or not. I just know that it was a lot of fun.

It's amazing Mr. Kohlburn survived all of us. Such a sweetheart.
Is Flora coming to the reunion? She and I went in to the navy around the same time. She at least did something much more productive than I did.
Where and when were these pics taken? Obviously a band trip.. Don't even remember

"Ditto" to what Linda Lou just said.
