C'mon people wake up it's 2 am.We rolled up the streets a few minutes ago, watching over the beer tent which is already up,and trying to keep an eye on all the Carnies wandering aimlessly around town looking for pay phones that don't exist, and throwing up in peoples back yards. AAAAAH, the sights and smells of yet another B-TOWN tradition.WAKE UP!
The one night I actually went to bed early and I miss all the fun.
Oh Debbie I have a soft spot in my heart for carnies. Remember the VFW homecoming? I had a special carnie kid in my hip pocket for a couple of summers. Of course he wasn't wandering or hurling.
hitch asks that you scour the last postcard and is ever so thankful for this generous offer from lois. life on the prairie pavement has it's costs you know. make room at clarence and lillian's crazyball.
Now Lois, why did you have to and say 'free rides' please don't make me comment in public,if you haven't had any free rides its your own fault. I sent you that form that outlines 'specifically' what is to be charged for each individual act, you charge them, your ride is Free, remember?
face-off, show-up, show-down, downtown. relying on the kindness of strangers, it's always hard to plan but we'll give it a shot, or a bump and a beer or two.
re: kindess of strangers. a beer is such a refreshing beverage, especially in the right situation. refusing a stronger offer may be interpreted as impolite and we can't have that. we also want to avoid too much tilting and wind up in the neighbors back yard.
OK. I'm going to say this once, well twice, and that's it. Dr. Beret - You THE Man. Hitchhiker - You THE Man. I never believed you were two separate people even though I had to wait until nearly 11:30p before it was proven! See you both tonight and thanks for the photo opp. I will wait until after tonight before posting your picture to continue the suspence.

no, we can't set 7 p.m. in stone for those two guys. They're free spirits.
oh and before anyone thinks that I'm hitchhiker, let me just say that I read Dr. Beret's comments to HH on the 8-28 postcard and it said 7 or later.
