Brenda Mitchell Davis has emailed me (she is not allowed access to the blog at work) that she will be unable to attend the reunion due to some surgery she will be having. She says to tell everyone hello and she'll see them the next time around.
Gwen: I sent mine yesterday so count me in!

Thanks to everyone for your greetings. As you may have guessed, this is the first time I have gotten onto the reunion site. I must have spent about 3 hours last night reading the blogs going back several months - what a lot of photos and memories! It's been a very busy winter/spring/summer for me with work, college visits/auditions for my daughter (who just graduated from high school this year), vacations, and long weekends square dancing - I started dancing while in graduate school at SIU-C in '77 and have been dancing every since.
Wendyb--where are you in Delaware? We are in Maryland near Annapolis. It will be nice to see you and catch up.
Since we're nearing the deadline do we have a head count? If you tell me will you have to kill me??

I may not be able to attend. I will be starting my new job in Chapel Hill NC on the 27th of Aug.
Finances will be tight for a while since I will be maintaining two households for a while. My fiance will be satying in Georgia getting the house ready to sell and I will be renting an apartment in NC. It is exciting but I've got the jitters too since I do not know the area well. I am looking forward to the change but there is so much to do to get ready for the move and I have been putting things off. Yes, I am the Queen of procrastination!
I remember how excited I was when I reconnected with Lois, Nona, Patty, Steve, Bob, and others on Classmates.com. I've been a cheerleader all the way on the blog and to think I will not be at the reunion saddens me. I hope the blog continues and many pics will be posted of the reunion. I will continue posting here.

Yes, you've been a cheerleader the whole way Carla. You should definitely be here to see the fruits of your labor.
I think that many of us understand what it's like to change jobs and/or move to another area.
Congratulations on the new job by the way. Sounds exciting to me.
If you can make the reunion, it would be wonderful...but if not, we'll make sure that we keep in touch.
