Happy Birthday ladies, that is a fun picture. As I recall Gwen was in one of those family's where mom, dad, daughter all had the same B-day...is that right? or is my somestimesheimer kicking in again?
Hope both of the b'days were great. Gwen, I wrote you an email prior to the big day but I got a weird thing from my carrier saying the message was delayed but that I didn't need to re-send. Hope it finally got to you. Donna Jo, I'm gonna write to you right after I finish laughing here. I think it's safe to say that you didn't drink the entire bottle--if you had, neither of you would have made it to 53!
Thanks for the bday wishes. As it was, I was on my back (not in a fun way) on my birthday and still am not back to "normal." They sure do make some great legal drugs these days though. That cough medicine that I was taking was equivalent to a baby LSD trip, I'm thinking...don't know for sure as alcohol was always my only drug of choice. Professional Funsters have a reputation to protect! Hey, Bill...funny the things our memory hangs onto, isn't it? Thanks for remembering that I was born on my Father and Mother's birthdays...Dad was 28, Mom was 26. It was, and still is, the hottest day of record for the Midwest for July 19. We made the headlines (my 15 minutes of fame) and it's been downhill ever since. As the years took their toll, their birthdays became the only thing that Mom and Dad had in common. Still, its always been a fun topic of conversation. Happy BDay to all of the other July Babes! If my memory serves me correctly, Mike McPherson was also born on July 19.
Gwennie, Wasn't the pic taken at the Bethalto Homecomming? I remember have one taken with somebody but not sure who. You are not alone in your durg of choice although these days I hardly ever drink anything stronger than coffee. Thank God, I never got into drugs other than a little pot back in the day. Speaking of Mike McPherson, has anyone heard from him? We need to hear his "life story". I had such a crush on him in 7th grade and even later. Let's face it, I was boy crazy and had crushes on a lot of guys....shameful hussy. Ha!
Yes, Carla, this pic was taken at the Homecoming about 1969-70. I loved the Homecoming when I was growing up; I don't think I missed one until I was in my 40's. Carni- Queen. Deb, I didn't get your email. I hope you had a great bday on the 28th!
