What's Happening in YOUR Life????
This one will be an open forum where anything goes. What do you want to talk about?
I'd appreciate ANY ideas you have - just email me at linda_goldsmith@hotmail.com and I'll see what I can do. My brain is fried as far as new ideas for the blog go and I'm not above asking for help.
Is anyone other than me out of work and still looking? I never realized just how busy life can be when trying to find a job and trying to keep the unemployment people happy regarding my search. Then, it's stressful just trying to make the unemployment stretch to cover everything (a rubber band couldn't stretch far enough for me - ha, ha).
I've had some scary health issues/tests during December and early January but everything came out ok in the end other than I need to lose weight and if ya'll know me at all - duh! I guess I need to look for a health insurance outside of COBRA because that payment is eating me alive. Actually, the COBRA payment definitely helps with my diet plan since food is not an option on my budget (slight exaggeration here people)!
I know some of you don't want to hear this so close your eyes 'cause I'm about to give a witness - but God is good and regardless of my situation (or yours, for that matter), I will learn to let go and serve Him within those parameters and be content in that.
Hope to hear from you all soon!

The pic I tried to post, here, pretty much says it all. It's a snowman on a park bench with a noose around his neck.
I'M TIRED OF WINTER...LOL
Things are well with me and mine. My daughter separated from her husband the of Thanksgiving. Ever since then, things have gotten busier around our house. I have been doin' the "Daddy" chores as well as the "Papa" stuff. It will all work out, but as many of you know, it just takes time.
I am really looking forward to spring and the warmer weather. Yes, I'm anxious to get to the lake and get the RV opened and ready for fun, but that's a couple months away.
We have all been pretty healthy, despite the bitter cold and all the stuff going 'round. We're thankfull for that. I hate being sick. I am also thankful that everyone in our house is working. I will hit my 20th Anniversary, at work, in April. My how time flys.
I hear ya about the insurance. My sister-in-law works in retail and was just informed that her single coverage would be going from $0.00 to $180 a month. Not Good.
I, too, need to loose some weight. I keep thinking I'll start tomorrow.LOL
I gotta run, time to take the grandboys to basket ball.

Linda, for those of us who trust The Lord, gettin' out of the way and letting Him do what we ask Him to, is a constant battle.
We got a whopping 6" of snow Tuesday. I made it into work OK but the office shut down at 11:30. The roads comming home in my county were bad because there is no means of snow removal or for salting the roads. No snow tires either so I slipped and slided home. Our dogs had fun playing in the snow. They ran around like crazy and rolled around in the snow. I worked from home Wed. because the roads were still bad.
Not much else going on here. Will be glad to hear from others on the blog.
AH HA HA HA, Oh, sorry. I forgot y'all aren't used to that stuff down there. Up here we shovel 6 at night, clear the driveway from the plow before bed and shovel 6 more at 5am before goin' to work. But, in fareness to you, we have plows and salt/sand trucks and also snow tires. If you need some practice driving, come on up in March. We usually get a blast before its over...sometimes as late as Memorial Day.

We have been remodeling the kitchen since November. Its something that has needed to be done since we first moved in 14 years ago. We’ve been doing all the work ourselves and it has not been easy! I have to hand it to you Linda for all the hard work you put into rehabbing houses. It’s all consuming and taking its toll. Lonnie has messed up a knee and I’ve wore out my thumb at the joint (my painting hand). My son in law was laid off from Granite City Steel just in time to lend us a hand so he has been a great help. Convenient for us but hoping this lay off doesn’t last too long.
Rich and Carla, I think Obama pretty well summed up how our area reacts to snow, when his daughters' school was closed yesterday after 1-2 inches of snow and a little ice. Course, the government has a 'liberal leave' policy. There go the liberals again!!
