How many of you are on Facebook? LinkedIn? Twitter? Etc.?
As for me, I am still looking for a job while I finish my degree online.
And, I need to get to one of the rental properties and let my brother, Mike, in so he can do some repairs for me. Don't tell him I said so, but he is a pretty good carpenter and takes pride in his work. He was the year behind us in school.
Anyhoo, gotta run. Hope to hear from all of you.

Hey everyone! I'm on LinkedIn but I don't tweet on twitter. We drove down to Florida to see my dad for Fathers Day. He's in a nursing home but it is a really nice place and he likes it there. The staff is really good. Dad is 85 and his lady friend who was just admitted there from the hospital is 88.
We stayed in Saint Augustine but didn't have time to see the sites. I've been there many times but Manny has not been. We'll have to go again when we have more time. It was hot as heck over the weekend and the air was thick as pea soup.
Hopefull I will get to work from home full time soon. I got the computer equipment and phone set up yesterday morning by a company IT guy.
That's about it for me. Hope to hear more exciting news from anyone out there who still reads the blog. Oh yeah, Debbie, keep those e-mails comming. You sent the funniest stuff.

Hello everyone. We finally have SUMMER here in Minnesota. In the 90's a lot for the last few days. Sure is nice. I have been busy at work and have also been keeping busy around the place, here too. Seems there's always somethin' to fix or repair. My daughter is getting a divorce, so we have been busy with helping her out and have had my 2 grandsons a lot on the weekends. We go to the lake every weekend(2hr drive). We just have an RV set on a permanent site next to the lake, but its our "Lake Place" and we love it. We will be there for a whole week the week after The Fourth.YEE HA....hope the weather is nice. Went to Missouri to see my folks and attend the Hendrix Reunion the weekend before Father's Day. It sure sucks to see them getting older. You notice it more when you only see them a couple times a year. I got good news a couple weeks back. I have been on a list for a couple years to be INVITED to become a member of an outdoor shooting range, near my home. Yee Ha, I have finally been invited. Now I won't have to impose on my friends that live out on a farm everytime I get the urge to go shooting. It's cheap and close to my home and they have ranges to accomodate handguns, rifles and shotguns.

Hey all I am still out here, just not spending much time on line. I was in Bethalto and Champaign at the end of May first of June, wow sure don't miss that weird weather.
All is well here, surprised to see not much activity here.
Glad to see Linda is keeping up the Blog for those of us that wonder back in from time to time.
Hope all is good with everyone, I should be back in Bethalto in late September for my Niece's wedding.
I don't do linked in, not much for old retired person to link in too, and just signed on to twitter, don't think that is my style either, kind of strange, not sure I want to follow or be followed...

Know exactly what you mean, Bill. I got on to Facebook. Was that a mistake.!!! Better ways to keep up with family and friends than to open that can of worms.
BTW, what's this RETIREMENT thing you're talkin' about...LOL I get the OLD part, but the RETIRED part...LOL
I just wrote an entire missive here and thought I was publishing it, then signed out and the damn thing went away. Seriously, this thing is going to kill me. I have tried about a MILLION times to get on, have ALWAYS screwed it up in some manner and had decided that this would be the very last time I tried. I may just blow up the computer if this doesn't work this time.
This will be abbreviated from the last one that is now floating out there somewhere. Of course, my life is so dull that this won't take long at all. STILL not divorced,kids threatening to sign me up for some internet dating thing, am going to try to come to Bethalto for the Homecoming. Will anyone else be there?
I went to Galen with my sister in May for a long weekend and had a great time. I got to see Lois and Dr. Steve for about 5 minutes (not kidding)at the beginning of the summer and have talked to Claudia recently. that's all that 's going on with me. Wow. that's pathetic!
I'm gonna see if this will actually be posted, not holding my breath of course. If it works, I'll be on more often.
Oh, one more thing:Bill Robinson, you should be ashamed of yourself being in Champaign and not getting in touch. You naughty boy!!!

It worked! I'm so excited I'll probably forget what I did to get it to do so and I won't be able to do this for another year.
Well, tended to the Facebook thing. Terminated my account this week. WOW, what a difference! 'Puter is faster and cut my email volumn in half.
Can't say my life is dull, but most of the time its ROUTINE and that's almost as bad. LOL
Congrats Linda on your new job. Hope it works out well for you. Deb, girl, I'm proud of you for getting on here. lol Yea!
We had some friends over for the
4th. Had a killer fireworks display. We had stopped in NC on our way back from Fl. and bought a truckload...well it seemed like that. The 4th was great...good food, good friends, and we didn't set the woods on fire from the fireworks. Our dog Pippi loves fireworks. She goes bonkers at the mention of the 4th of July. She also knows what Christmas is too. Well, maybe not the real reason we celebrate Christmas, but she knows there will be presents.
I like hearing from y'all so post a message once in a while and keep this thing going.
Bob, that would be GREAT to see you and Mona! I think I got to talk to you more than I did her at the Reunion so will be fun to catch up. I'm still planning on coming. now all I have to do is tell Claudia!
Are any of the rest of you people outthere gonna try to come to the beer tent? Sure hope so.
Carla, do you get up to Bethalto very often? You were missed at the reunion and I'd love to see you. So....now that I've mastered the blog again, how does one Twitter and get LinkedIn? I'm getting courageous in my old age!
Hey Deb, who's old? Not us. My son moved back to Bethalto last year and is now living in East Alton . I would love to get up there for a visit. I haven't been up there since about 1991.
I just heard from La Veta who is going to try to reconnect to the blog and all of you. I told her there are several of us on Facebook, as well, if she's interested. She also knows about the beer tent now.
If anyone has moved, changed phone numbers or email addresses, be sure to let me know and I'll update the Contact List for those who are interested.
I also saw Carole Moran Forsythe two nights ago.
Debbie, I thought about you while you were there, I really did. Didn't have your contact info in my Blackberry though, I know lame excuse, but it is the one I am going with.
Homecoming, I would love to be there, I am on Jury duty call the Thursday before Labor Day, so not sure, I can book a flight and all, if I get called, I may be on Jury duty the Friday before that weekend!
My neice is getting married the last weekend of September so I will be in Bethalto then, I am also going to go back to EIU's homecoming the middle of October, so I will be passing through Bethalto then too, so Labor day is doubtful.
Hey Bob, if you get to AZ to check on your rental (if you still have it) give me a call we can hit the little white ball.

I agree, recalling how to sign in is a challenge. I struggle everytime with it. It needs a remember me option.
