Great question this month, Helen.
How will we top that one?!
Jeremiah was a bullfrog,
Was a good friend of mine,
I never understood a single word he said
But I helped him a-drink his wine,
And he always had some mighty fine wine.
...Not my favorite song from 1971 but one that conjures up an old memory...sitting in the CMHS multi-purpose room and Joy To The World is blaring from the jukebox, probably for the 4th or 5th time in a row. Barb Turner is sitting across from me swearing how she is "sick and tired of hearing that song!" It’s funny how I think I remember very little from those days, yet a silly song will pull me backward to a moment in time. Are there any songs that take you to another place and time? Here’s a reminder of what we listened to in the early 70’s.

Everyone who posts to this will get their name in the hat for a chance to win a CMHS keychain. Again, there will be two names pulled to win.

By-the-way: Who sang Joy To The World? Yes, the version we all know was made popular by Three Dog Night.
Who wrote the song? Country, folk and pop legend, Hoyt Axton, wrote this song, as well as another TDN hit, Never Been To Spain. He also co-wrote Heartbreak Hotel with Elvis.
With the mention of Dr. Bop, thought you might get a kick out of my Dr. Bop album cover.
